Chris Wilding is a dedicated Support Worker at HARP, providing overnight care and support at The Retreat from Monday to Friday. During this time, he ensures clients feel safe, comfortable, and connected to their recovery journey. From supporting evening routines and accompanying clients to meetings, to maintaining a calm and structured household environment, Chris plays a vital role in the continuity of care outside clinical hours.

Holding a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Chris brings both professional training and lived experience to his work. With over six years of personal sobriety and more than five years working within HARP, he offers genuine understanding, empathy, and steady support. He believes there are no “dumb questions” in recovery and always makes time for open, honest conversation.

Before joining HARP, Chris worked as a chef for 30 years and initially served as HARP’s Head Chef. His passion for nourishing others continues today, ensuring clients receive meals that are not only delicious but thoughtfully prepared to meet their nutritional needs. Chris is committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel supported throughout what is often one of the most transformative periods of their lives.
